Vicky O’Neon x DRMMR – A Collaboration with Above Average Clothing
When I first reached out to Vicky O’Neon, it wasn’t with a collaboration in mind. I simply thought it would be great to connect at the UK Drum Show, where she was leading a masterclass in Mike Dolbear’s room. The idea was for her to pick something up from the brand during the weekend. But what came back through her representative was bigger than I expected — a call, a conversation, and the suggestion of something more permanent.
That conversation turned into the beginning of the Vicky O’Neon x DRMMR collaboration.
Vicky’s energy, personality, and commitment to her craft made her an ideal partner. She’s not only a world-class drummer who has performed with major artists and on some of the biggest stages, but she’s also a passionate advocate for women in drumming and co-founder of two not-for-profit organisations pushing for more inclusivity in music. That mix of creativity, colour, and community is exactly what DRMMR stands for — and why this collection feels so natural.
The Story Behind the Collab
The initial idea was simple: bring Vicky into the Above Average Clothing fold as a drummer who represented the same mindset that drives my brand. But after that first call, it became clear that she was a great match for something deeper.
Vicky is a big representative for women in drumming worldwide. She’s worked tirelessly to open doors, encourage the next generation, and create platforms for new voices. Beyond the stage, she’s co-founded two not-for-profits dedicated to making music more inclusive and accessible. Those values — progress, creativity, and inclusivity — are the same ones that underpin Above Average Clothing and the DRMMR identity.
For me, the best collaborations aren’t just about putting a logo on a tee. They’re about aligning with people whose energy and mindset already reflect the brand. With Vicky, that alignment was instant.
The Designs
The Vicky O’Neon x DRMMR collection includes a full range of pieces: vests, tees, jumpers, hoodies, and full zip hoodies. What makes them stand out is the energy and statement they bring — clothing that doesn’t just blend into the background, but reflects Vicky’s unapologetic style and the vibrancy she brings to drumming.

The VON rainbow logo – bold, bright, and instantly recognisable, representing creativity without limits.

The DRMMR Ascent mark in bright pink – Vicky’s personal favourite, combining Above Average’s signature caret symbol with her own colour choice for a design that makes a statement.
Another key element is customisation. Some of the collection is available as “Made Your VON Way” pieces, which means anyone can use the online editor to customise the colours and make each piece their own. That flexibility is something Vicky loved from the start — a way of letting drummers and fans bring their own personality to the collection.
These aren’t designs you wear quietly. They’re built to reflect the energy of someone who thrives on stage, who sees colour and rhythm as self-expression, and who isn’t afraid to stand out.

The UK Drum Show
The UK Drum Show (18–19 October 2025) is where this collaboration is making its mark. Not only was Vicky delivering her masterclass at the event, but she also actively promoted the collection across the weekend.
Some of the pieces were available directly at the show, with others showcased to give drummers a first look at what the collaboration is all about. For me, the Drum Show was the perfect place to launch this collection — an event packed with passion, community, and drummers who live the “progress over perfection” ethos every day.
Just as importantly, it was a space where Vicky could connect directly with the community she represents and bring her collection to life in real time.
Sustainability That Matters
From the very first conversation, sustainability was a key factor in Vicky agreeing to collaborate. She wanted to know how the clothes were made, what the supply chain looked like, and whether the values lined up with her own.
Everything is produced using organic cotton and recycled materials, ensuring high environmental and ethical standards.
For Vicky, this wasn’t just a nice add-on — it was an essential part of saying yes to the collab. She wanted to know that her name and brand would be tied to clothing that genuinely tries to make a difference in an industry often criticised for the opposite.
This collaboration isn’t fast fashion. It’s built on the idea of clothing with meaning, made responsibly, and designed to last.
The Mindset Connection
Mindset has always been at the heart of Above Average Clothing. The slogan “no ego. just evolution” captures the philosophy behind everything I create. For Vicky, mindset also plays a huge role in her career and in this collaboration.
Her approach is about unashamedly being yourself, having fun, and focusing on progress over perfection. That resonates deeply with my brand and with the DRMMR identity in particular.
Clothing isn’t just fabric — it’s a statement. Wearing something that represents creativity, sustainability, and mindset turns a hoodie or tee into more than just merch. It becomes a marker of identity and intent. That’s what this collection is about.
